Step-By-Step
The TEMPLATE
Step 1
Trace and cut out 2 patterns per hat. (Front and Back of hat)
Put the front and back pieces together, with outer-facing sides of the material facing each other.
It will look like the hat is inside-out.
Step 2
Inside —>
Outside —>
Step 3
Sew each side of hat, with a 1/2” seam allowance -
(that’s the bit of fabric between the cut edge and the stitch)
Step 4
Fold and Hem the raw edge.
Tip: You may have to gather and sew down the folded edge to make the hem lay flat.
Flip your hat outside out, and you’re done!
